Sporting Venues

Inclement weather: Due to the changeable nature of the weather in Melbourne and the number of participants for Football and AFL, we intend to continue with the outdoor plan in the case of wet weather. Please ensure that students are prepared to play in the rain.

In the event of heavy rain or hail, if the conditions such as the safety of the playing surface or player welfare are deemed unsafe by staff, play should initially be suspended. If the conditions improve i.e. rain stops or eases to what is considered a safe level by staff and the playing surface can be cleared or has drained sufficiently to enable play to re-commence, games should then be completed. This may also require the fixture to be amended or abandoned.

In the case that a ground is deemed unplayable we may look to relocate matches and you will be notified as soon as practicable.

First Aid: Fully qualified medics will be present at each of the venues. Each college to check relevant insurance/cover for Ambulance Victoria.

Food Availability at venues: Food will be available to purchase at the venues, however, as this may be limited please ensure that students are well-prepared with snacks for the day.
